Ledger Dreams Of A White Christmas
Australian actor Heath Ledger enjoys Christmas in his adopted New York - because he always felt silly singing "dashing through the snow..." on a beach.
The Brokeback Mountain star is reportedly planning to start 2007 by marrying girlfriend Michelle Williams and he hopes the celebrations begin with a white Christmas.
He says, "Christmas in Australia is obviously different from Christmas in New York. You don't get skis and snow boots, you get surf boards and sun towels and you go to the beach after your Christmas lunch.
"You eat the same food in both places, but it's nice to finally see the snow instead of singing about it in Australia, while you're cooking sausages on a barbecue in 40-degree (Celsius) heat."
