The 20 year old, who is nominated for an Oscar for her turn in Winter's Bone, stars as mutant Mystique in the upcoming superhero blockbuster, appearing alongside British actor Hoult.

They are said to have met on set and made their first public appearance as a couple at the glitzy awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night (30Jan11), according to the New York Daily News.

A source tells the publication, "Jennifer and Nicholas were holding hands and looked incredibly cute together. They were inseparable all night."
