Laura Bush Had Tumour Removed From Leg
US President George W Bush's wife Laura had a cancerous tumour removed from her leg last month (NOV06).
The American First Lady noticed a small sore on her shin which refused to heal and was told by doctors it was a squamous cell carcinoma. Bush was forced to undergo minor surgery on 7 November.
Her spokesperson SUSAN WHITSON says, "Because of Mrs Bush's early detection and treatment the area on her leg is healing.
"She's continually had it checked, the check-ups are good. Everything seems to be fine."
