Cyndi Lauper - Lauper To Be Honoured For Lgbt Work

Cyndi Lauper is set to be honoured for her work with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (Lgbt) youngsters.
The Time After Time singer is co-founder of the True Colors Fund, an organisation aimed at involving the straight community in the advancement of Lgbt equality.
Lauper will join members of the U.S. government's Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to celebrate the annual National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day on 9 May (12) in Washington, D.C.
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will present the Grammy Award-winning star with an honour for her work with the fund.
