Latoya And Tommy Evicted From Celebrity Big Brotherby Contributor | 22 January 2009
Singer LaToya Jackson and Scottish politician Tommy Sheridan have become the latest contestants voted off Celebrity Big Brother.
Michael Jackson's sister and the controversial former member of the Scottish parliament were evicted from the show with the lowest votes of the current series, after many viewers began voting for who they feel should win the series.
TV presenters Ulrika Jonsson and Terry Christian, rapper Coolio, ex-boyband member Ben Adams and actor Verne Troyer are the remaining celebrities in the house, with the Channel 4 reality show set to end on Friday.
LaToya, the 53-year-old sister of music legend Michael Jackson, said her stay in the house had helped her to be less guarded.
"It was an experience for me being with other people for that length of time," she told Davina McCall.
"I was able to come out of my shell, however I wish I could have done a bit more. I hate being so shy and I thought that this would help me a lot, and it did."
Sheridan, 44, said he had had been "pleased" to hear his name called out as the latest evictee.
"My time was up," he explained. "I wanted to get out and I was really disappointed when LaToya was first called. I had a glum face."
Tommy explained he had taken part in the show for the pay cheque and was training to become a lawyer.
