Latin Grammys See Nelly Furtado And Juan Luis Guerra Win Big
The 2010 Latin Grammy Awards were held last night in Las Vegas (11th November 2010) and the awards ceremony was dominated by NELLY FURTADO and singer-songwriter JUAN LUIS GUERRA, reports E! Online.
JENNIFER LOPEZ and RICKY MARTIN were among the stars in attendance at the biggest night on the Latin music calendar, however, it was the Canadian born NELLY FURTADO that took home one of the night's biggest prizes. The 31-year-old was triumphant in the category of 'Best Female Pop Album' for her latest record 'Mi Plan'. However, the night belonged to JUAN LUIS GUERRA who scooped three awards, including the coveted 'Album of the Year'. On accepting his prize, the 53-year-old said, "It is very important for us to reclaim more justice, more integrity and more honesty for our countries. The time has come and we need to lift up our voices".
Live performances on the evening came from RICKY MARTIN, MARC ANTHONY, and PEDRO FERNANDEZ.
