LARA LOGAN, the CBS News correspondent, has been discharged from hospital after being attacked in Cairo last week.
LARA LOGAN, the American news correspondent who suffered "a brutal and sustained sexual assault" at the hands of a mob in Egypt last week, has been released from an undisclosed hospital, reports E! Online.Logan, who is now recuperating with husband JOSEPH BURKETT and their children at home in Washington DC, is reportedly in "remarkably good spirits". The 39-year-old was working on a story for the 60 Minutes show in Cairo's Tahrir Square when she was set upon by "a mob of more than 200 people". After becoming separated from her crew and security team, Logan was surrounded and assaulted before she was rescued by a group of women and the Egyptian army. CNN anchor ANDERSON COOPER, who was reportedly "punched repeatedly in the head" in Cairo two weeks ago, sent a message of support to Logan on his Twitter page, saying, "Sickened and saddened by the attack on Lara Logan. She is in all of our thoughts and prayers".
TMZ.com report that LARA LOGAN is keen to return to work "within weeks" and a source told the website, "She is going to be OK".
