Langham 'Kissed Girl' During Acting Lesson
The 25-year-old alleged victim, who was 14 at the time, claims she was "stunned" by the kiss she claims took place in the actor's West End dressing room.
Mr Langham, 58, has denied 27 child sex charges overall, including ten counts of indecent assault and two counts of serious sexual offence on a girl under 18 between 1996 and 2000; as well as 15 counts of making an indecent image of a child in 2005.
At Maidstone crown court today, the jury of eight men and four women heard Richard Barraclough QC, for the prosecution, ask the alleged victim to describe an acting lesson in Mr Langham's dressing room in the Palace Theatre, where he was appearing in Les Miserables.
She stated that The Thick of it star Mr Langham had been teaching her breathing techniques related to a Shakespeare audition she had, claiming: "He was talking about the diaphragm and how you breathe; he lifted up his top so I could see how his stomach would expand and slowly go down.
"I tried to do the breathing techniques as well but I felt a bit silly and then I sat down in the chair which was near the door and then he came up and he gave me a small kiss on the lips."
Upon further questioning the 25-year-old said it had been a "soft kiss" that lasted up to half a minute, and that Mr Langham had explained the kiss as necessary to help her "relate to the character".
"I sat there stunned. I wasn't expecting that," she said. The trial continues.
