Lance Armstrong - Lance Armstrong Denies New Doping Allegations

Retired cycling champion Lance Armstrong has moved swiftly to blast fresh allegations he used performance-enhancing drugs as he prepared to compete in the Tour de France over a decade ago.
Former cycling teammate Tyler Hamilton claims he witnessed Armstrong using the endurance-boosting drug Epo on several occasions while preparing for the big race in the years 1999, 2000 and 2001.
In an interview on TV news show 60 Minutes, due to air in the U.S. on Sunday (22May11), Hamilton says, "I saw it (Epo) in his (Armstrong's) refrigerator and I saw him inject it more than one time, like we all did many, many times."
Armstrong, who has found himself at the centre of various doping scandals throughout his career, took to his Twitter.com account on Thursday (19May11) to vigorously deny the allegations, insisting his record speaks for itself.
He writes, "20+ year career. 500 drug controls worldwide, in and out of competition. Never a failed (drug) test. I rest my case."
The seven-time Tour de France winner, who retired from the sport earlier this year (11), took home the first place prize every year from 1999 to 2005.
