Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe: I'll Face Trial And See What Happens
Talking about his time in the prison, Blythe told Cbs6 that he spent his time writing in his journal, writing songs, eating soup and swapping vocabulary with his Czech and Mongolian cellmates. His case was well-known in Prague, so when he entered the prison, he was no stranger to many of cellmates, though they certainly were to him. Blythe was understandably confused and angered by some of the events leading up to his incarceration - especially upon learning that the US authorities had refused to co-operate with the Czech authorities with the investigation. "I don't think the Czech's were too pleased about that," explained Blythe. "I'm not too pleased about that. And the least they could've done is, if they aren't going to cooperate, fine, at least let me know I'm wanted for manslaughter, you know, in the Czech Republic. We had no idea."
Blythe also stressed that he was prepared to return to the Czech Republic, to face the trial and clear his name. "I feel ethically responsible to go back there and face this charge. (the victim's) family right now is in a lot of pain, and they deserve some answers. I want my name cleared. I have to go around the world and tour, you know. That's what I do. I'm not going to hide here. I'm an innocent man. I'm going to go to court and see what happens."
