Lamb Of God Singer Randy Blythe Breaks Silence Over Manslaughter Charge
Blythe has spoken to local tabloid 'Blesk' (the interview has been translated by the Blabbermouth website) and insists that he is innocent, explaining that his memories of that time are hazy. "I don't know anything about any sort of incident [that allegedly took place during the concert]. I remember very few details about the show, mainly because I have played a lot of concerts [before and after the gig in question]." He added "In any case, I did not attack anyone. The only way I could have come into contact with anyone from the audience was if I was protecting myself from [people bumping into me when climbing on the stage]."
The allegations brought against Randy are that he pushed a fan from the stage at Prague's Club Abaton back in 2010. The fan reportedly suffered a brain haemorrhage, which left him comatose. He died 14 days later. Yesterday (July 17, 2012), a Prague Municipal dismissed the complaint against Blythe's release, but doubled his bail to $400,000 - a sum that Randy claims is almost twice his annual salary.
