Lady Gaga To Pay Tribute To Beyonce At Billboard Awards
Lady GaGa is set to pay tribute to her fellow 'Telephone' star Beyonce at tonight's (22 May 2011) Billboard Awards, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lady Gaga's tribute will celebrate Beyonce having won the 'Billboard Millennium Award'.
The 'Judas' singer will not be the only one paying homage, as both Stevie Wonder and First Lady Michelle Obama will also pay tribute to the 16-time Grammy winner, whose career has spanned fifteen years at only the ripe age of 29. Michelle Obama's tribute is no surprise after Beyonce sang at Obama's inauguration and had also contributed to the President's National Education Foundation. The list of stars paying tribute continues with names such as Barbra Streisand and Bono. It is currently uncertain how Lady Gaga will pay tribute to her contemporary star but it does follow-up from their previous musical relationship where they had recorded two songs and videos for 'Telephone' and 'Videophone'. The 'Billboard Millennium Award' is Billboard's version of a lifetime achievement award. The Awards ceremony returns tonight (22 May 2011) after a 4-year absence.
Lady Gaga'S new sophomore attempt 'Born This Way' will be released tomorrow (23 May 2011), whilst Beyonce's fourth solo album '4' is due for release at the end of the month.
