Lady Gaga New York Shows To Become Hbo Special
Lady GaGa's forthcoming New York concerts are to be recorded and televised by HBO.
The 'Poker Face' hitmaker will play the city's Madison Square Garden on February 21 and 22 and the US TV network have announced they will broadcast her performances in a special show that will be shown on screens on May 7, two weeks before the eccentric pop star releases her new album 'Born This Way'.
Lauriann Gibson, who choreographed most of the 24-year-old singer's videos will direct the recorded concerts, with HBO promising Gaga will put in some new moves especially.
The shows, which will include a ten-piece band and ten backing dancers, will be the first time the star will headline a solo concert for the network.
HBO entertainment president Sue Naegle said: "Lady Gaga is the single most exciting music talent on the scene today. We're especially thrilled that she'll be creating unique new elements for the special that will make the show an even more memorable experience for our viewers."
