Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga Lands Role In Machete Sequel

The pop superstar will portray a character called La Chameleon in MAChete Kills.

Writer/director Rodriguez took to Twitter.com on Thursday (26Jul12) to announce the casting coup, posting: "I just finished working with Lady Gaga on MAChete Kills, she kicked so much a**! Holy Smokes. Blown away!"

The filmmaker then posted a link to her character in a poster for the new film.

Lady Gaga also tweeted about the film set experience, writing, "Yes it's true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MAChete Kills by (Robert Rodriguez) I'm so excited!!! Ah! Filming was insane."

The film features returning castmates Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez and newcomers Zoe Saldana, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen and more.
