The Bad Romance hitmaker kicked off her Born This Way Ball world tour in Asia last month (Apr12) and already she's facing backlash from officials in Indonesia, who want to ban her shows there over fears her planned stage routines are too racy for concertgoers.
And now the pop star has sparked new controversy after landing in Bangkok and taking to her social networking site to share her excitement about scouring the streets for bargain items, presumably a nod to the country's underground black market.
She wrote, "I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex (watches)."
Dozens of followers have since taken offence, with a few even planning to boycott her gig on Friday (25May12), and one fan responded, "We are more civilized than you think".
This marks the second time Gaga has made reference to fake and illegal designer goods in the region - while visiting Hong Kong, China last month (Apr12), she wrote, "I love this city. You can work out & buy a fake Birkin (bag) on the same street."
