Lady GaGa has paid tribute to a bullied gay teen who reportedly took his own life, by dedicating her hit tune Hair to the young fan during her performance at the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas on Saturday (24Sep11).
The pop superstar launched a campaign to make bullying illegal after learning 14-year-old fan Jamey Rodemeyer allegedly committed suicide last weekend (18Sep11) following years of cruel taunts from peers over his sexuality.
And the hitmaker honoured him at the star-studded Sin City festival, which boasted performers including Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, and Steven Tyler.
Taking to the stage, Gaga said, "I lost a little monster this week and I'd like to dedicate this song to him. Tonight, Jamey I know you're up there and looking at us and you're not a victim. Bullying is for losers. Put your hands up for Jamey!"
