Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga Celebrates End Of Anti-gay Policy In Military

Lady Gaga is leading celebrations after a U.S. policy barring openly homosexual soldiers from serving in the military was abolished on Tuesday (20Sep11).
The controversial Don't Ask, Don't Tell (Dadt) policy was introduced in 1993, prohibiting military officers from discriminating against 'closeted' gay fellow soldiers, and preventing any hopefuls from admitting their sexual orientation.
U.S. President Barack Obama repealed the order on Tuesday and now a host of stars are showing their appreciation for the law change.
In a post on Twitter.com, Gaga writes, "What a tremendous & beautiful day, Dadt is officially repealed & the new order is in place. Sending all my love & gratitude to service members."
Glee star Jane Lynch adds, "Dadt... gone! Good riddance," and lesbian comedienne Wanda Sykes writes, "Congratulations to all of our service members who can now truly be all that you can be. Dadt was a hot mess."
The change of policy has already led to many military members 'coming out' since the announcement was made.
