Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga At The Centre Of Lawsuit Over Cancelled Concert
Lady Gaga is at the centre of a new lawsuit over the cancellation of her concert in Indonesia last year (12).
The pop superstar called off her 3 June (12) show in Jakarta after fundamentalist protesters threatened to intercept her upon arrival in the country.
Now the show's promoters are taking legal action against insurers at Lloyds of London for allegedly failing to make good on a policy which covers losses for gigs axed due to "the sole and direct result of terrorism and/or sabotage or threat".
The lawsuit, filed in California federal court, accuses the insurance providers of denying coverage "based on language and purported conditions that are not contained in The Terrorism Policies".
The promoters are demanding at least $75,000 (£47,000) to cover the losses, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Gaga pulled out of the remaining dates on her Born This Way Ball tour last month (Feb13) after being diagnosed with joint inflammation and a labral tear of her right hip.
It is estimated the cancellations will cost as much as $25 million (£16 million).
