Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga And Glee Stars In Glaad Nominations

This year, Ricky has been nominated for the Spanish language category, for his album Musica + Alma + Sexo. The cast of the hit TV series Glee are also in the running for the Outstanding Comedy Series award, facing competition from Happy Endings, Modern Family and The Big C. In the Best Drama Series category, Torchwood: Miracle Day, Grey's Anatomy and Shameless have been nominated. Amongst the films nominated for awards are Beginners, in which Christopher Plummer plays a gay father, Albert Nobbs (with Glenn Close playing a cross-dressing butler) and Edgar J, starring Leonardo Dicaprio.

Mike Thompson, the acting president for Glaad released a statement which read "This year's nominees enlighten and entertain, while spotlighting the diversity of our community. Audiences expect to see their own worlds reflected in media, and today more than ever, those include the lives of Lgbt people."
