Labeouf And Christie Sign Up For New York, I Love You

Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie and John Hurt are the latest stars to sign up to appear in New York, I Love You, a collection of 12 short films set in each of the city's five boroughs.

Based on the 2006 French film, Paris, Je T'Aime, the film is set to include a vast array of Hollywood stars.

Orlando Bloom, Hayden Christensen and Ethan Hawke are also amongst the cast that includes Kevin Bacon, Rachel Bilson, James Caan, Chris Cooper and Robin-Wright Penn.

Maggie Q, Eli Wallach, Bradley Cooper, and Anton Yelchin are all also lined up to appear in the film.

The directors of the individual segments are equally impressive with the stars of the Other Boleyn Girl, Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson, set to make their directorial debuts.

Mira Nair, Allen Hughes and X-Men 3 director Brett Ratner have also agreed to join the project.

Reports claim that if the film proves a success, Shanghai will be the next city to be used in the "Cities of Love" franchise.

LaBeouf and Christie's segment of New York, I Love You, was written by the late British director Anthony Minghella.

Elizabeth director, Shekhar Kapur, has stepped in to complete the segment after Minghella passed away in March.
