La Toya Jackson - La Toya Jackson Apologises For Michael Clarke Duncan Comments19 March 2013
La Toya Jackson has apologised to Michael Clarke Duncan's former fiancee for suggesting during an interview on U.S. Tv show The Celebrity Apprentice that she was to blame for the actor's death
Jackson was fired from Donald Trump's hit reality show on Sunday night (17Mar13) and during her exit interview she blasted fellow contestant Omarosa Manigault, who was engaged to Duncan before his fatal heart attack last year (12), and accused her of playing a role in the tragedy.
Jackson said, "She's a conniving, scheming, cut-throat (who) probably pulled the cord on Michael Clarke Duncan."
After the episode aired, Manigault's attorney reportedly filed a defamation lawsuit against the 56 year old, claiming Jackson's comments were "false" and "vicious", but now the singer is speaking out to clarify her remarks.
During an appearance on U.S. breakfast show Today on Tuesday (19Mar13), Jackson said, "I haven't received anything from that so I have no clue (what is going on legally)... (But) I didn't mean it that way, at all, not at all... I think Michael, I think he's a wonderful person, he was like a gentle giant, he was a lovely person, a very sweet person, and I just wish that he was still here with us."
