La Oreja De Van Gogh Deny Reports Of New Singer
LATEST: Spanish pop stars LA OREJA DE VAN GOGH have dismissed claims they have appointed a new lead singer in EDURNE GARCIA, insisting the reports are "just rumours". The group was left without a frontman after singer Amaia Montero, who had been performing with the band for 11 years, quit last year (07). But the Latin Grammy-winners insist Garcia - a reality TV show star - is not joining the group. Writing on their online blog, guitarist Pablo, bass player Álvaro and keyboardist Sabih San Martín say, "As many of you know, a rumour's been spreading that Edurne is going to be our new singer. And it's just that, a rumor started as a practical joke on December 28 "We understand that you're very excited to find out who'll be the new singer (we are too), but for your own well-being, we're asking that you don't pay attention to anything you hear, because as soon as there's a new singer, we'll tell you all about it on our blog."
