Kylie Unveils New Album Xby Contributor | 22 September 2007
Kylie Minogue has announced track details and a release date for her eagerly-anticipated new studio album, her first in four years.
The fittingly titled X, a nod to the album being Kylie's tenth, will hit stores on November 26th; preceded by upcoming single 2 Hearts a fortnight earlier.
The 13 tracks on the disc represent the 39-year-old's first new studio album since Body Language in November 2003 and the first new material from the Australian pop princess since her last greatest hits compilation three years ago.
A host of notable pop producers have played a part in the album, recorded in London, Stockholm and Ibiza, including Guy Chambers and Cathy Dennis, while retro songwriter Calvin Harris produced track six Heart Beat Rock.
Kylie herself meanwhile co-wrote seven songs.
The singer has also confirmed the release of her upcoming documentary White Diamond, which will premiere in UK Vue cinemas on October 16th.
The film, an account of her triumphant Showgirl Homecoming Tour last year after a successful battle with breast cancer, will then be released on DVD in the run-up to Christmas.
