Kylie Leaves Glasto Gapby Contributor | 28 November 2007
Kylie Minogue has announced the dates of her 2008 European tour - and has added to rumours that she will perform at next year's Glastonbury festival.
The 39-year-old, whose new album X was released on Monday, will kick off her tour in Paris on May 6th, before moving onto Belgium, Germany and beyond.
But the tour leaves a gap over the Glastonbury weekend of June 27th to June 29th, fuelling speculation that the Australian pop pixie will appear on the Pyramid stage.
The Showgirl was forced to suspend her 2005 tour after being diagnosed with breast cancer, with a mooted performance at the Somerset music festival also called off as a result.
In a statement confirming the 2008 series of concerts on her website, Kylie said the shows will be "a new and exciting experience for both the audience and myself".
"The eclectic mix of sounds on X is affording me an opportunity to explore and develop a new live show that will be fresh, exhilarating and innovative," she added.
"After two celebratory tours, X will be a look to the future but will definitely include favourites alongside the new. I can't wait to share it with you next year!"
Tickets for the UK shows go on sale at 09:00 GMT on Monday December 3rd, priced at £49 (except Belfast).
