Kristin Davis - Kristin Davis Petrified To Hold Baby Daughter

Kristin Davis was petrified when she held her daughter for the first time.
The 'Sex and the City' actress adopted baby girl Gemma Rose last year and admits she was nervous about whether they would bond together.
She told TV host Anderson Cooper: ''It is terrifying, partly because with adoption you always know there's the chance that it won't work. So you're on pins and needles.
''They tell you that when your child first comes, you should think of it as babysitting in case the birth mom changes her mind.
''Every state is different, but in California it's 48 hours. So you're trying to think that you're a babysitter but that's kind of impossible!''
Single parent Kristin, 47, spent the first days with Gemma sleeping close to her in order to forge a bond with the tot.
She added: ''When I first got her I would sleep with her on my chest, because when you adopt you're very concerned about bonding.
''You're not supposed to have comforters or anything around, obviously, because they could suffocate.''
Kristin admitted the process of adopting Gemma from her birth family, who are also American, hadn't been easy but she has grown into the role and she has considered taking on the care of another child.
She added: ''Once she came I was like, 'Hey I can do this, this is O.K.' So I mull it over, but because I'm a single mum, I want to focus on her and make sure I'm doing a good job first.''
