Bradley Cooper - Kristin Chenoworth Defends 'Gcb' Gay Storyline
KRISTIN CHENOWORTH has spoken out about the gay storyline in her new TV show 'GCB'. The show starring KRISTIN CHENOWORTH has attracted controversy over the satirical attack it commits against the American Christian community.
Speaking to ABC News, Chenoworth revealed that she did not want to smooth down any controversies regarding homosexuality: 'The Bible tells us that we're not supposed to judge, and people shouldn't judge before seeing the show. I'm a Christian, I think that's pretty well known, and I would never do anything that I think crossed the line.' In the show, Chenoworth plays Charlene, a plastic-surgery fanatic who is Christian by day. The show itself revolves around Charlene's crew of Christian housewives, one of whom is married to a gay man and has to keep the secret from the Church community. Defending the plotline, Chenoworth further elaborated: 'I'd say go to church and take a look around the room and see if you see any women who might be married to a man who might be gay. I'd say be very careful of judging someone who's in marriage who is gay because they don't want to be told they're going to hell. I think that happens and I think it's horrible.'
GCB, or 'Good Christian Belles', is currently being shown in the US. KRISTIN CHENOWORTH will also be seen alongside Bradley Cooper in comedy 'Outrun' later this year.
