Korn bassist REGINALD 'FIELDY' ARVIZU has opened up about his troubled first marriage - insisting his numerous affairs destroyed the relationship and drove his ex-wife to violence.
The star has been married three times and is now happily wed to Dena Beber, mother of his young son Israel.
But Arvizu admits his first marriage, to a woman named only as Sidney, was extremely unhappy - and blames his adultery for infuriating his former spouse and driving her to jealous rages.
He notes one particular incident in his upcoming memoir, Got the Life, which made him realise that his first marriage wouldn't last.
He writes, "She ran into the kitchen, grabbed a butcher knife, and came toward me like a crazed animal, wildly swinging at me. She cut open my shirt and made four shallow gashes in my chest.
"I didn't know you had to have morals to be married. I wanted the cake, the icing, the lit candles, everything... (but) whenever you sit down to eat the whole cake, you always pay the price."
The pair divorced shortly after the incident and the star went on to marry his second wife Shela Arvizu, with whom he has two daughters. Arvizu married Beber in 2006.
