Kobe Bryant - Kobe Bryant's Wife Files For Divorce

Vanessa Bryant, who stood by her husband during an infidelity scandal in 2003, filed divorce papers in Orange County, California on Friday (16Dec11). She cited irreconcilable differences.

The Bryants have been married for 10 years and have two young daughters.

A statement from the couple through a representative reads, "The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012. We ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this most difficult time."
