Klaxons Recruit Dirty Pretty Things Guitarist
British dance punk act KLAXONS have recruited former DIRTY PRETTY THINGS guitarist ANTHONY ROSSOMANDO following the break-up of CARL BARAT's rock band.
Rossomando previously stood in for troubled rocker Pete Doherty in The Libertines, and after the band's demise in 2004 he formed Dirty Pretty Things with Barat.
The group split in 2008 and while Doherty and Barat have now reformed The Libertines for two summer (10) gigs in Britain, Rossomando has a new job as a full-time member of Klaxons.
Klaxons singer/bassist Jamie Reynolds confirmed the news to NME magazine, saying, "We needed someone extra and he seemed like a great all-round musician, a great guy to have with us."
