Kirsten Dunst - Kirsten Dunst Becomes German Citizen, Moving To Berlin?
Kirsten Dunst, the American-born actress currently starring in Lars Von Trier's 'Melancholia', has revealed she has attained her German citizenship, according to German magazine B.Z.
Dunst is of half-German descent on her father's side and frequently visits her family in Hamburg. Speaking about becoming a citizen, the 29-year-old joked, "I'm now a real international lady.One who can film in Europe without a problem.It would be the greatest joy for me to play in a German film". However, despite her allegiances to Hamburg, Dunst claims she would consider moving to the capital, saying, "I would prefer to buy an apartment in Berlin. It's such a young city, and right now so much is happening in Berlin". The actress is currently promoting 'Melancholia', in which she plays a severely depressed bride who attempts to enjoy her wedding while a mysterious planet threatens to collide with the Earth. The actress recently opened up about her own struggle with depression for she underwent treatment in 2008. She received the Best Actress award at the 64th Cannes Film Festival in May for her performance.
Dunst will once again play a bride in the forthcoming comedy 'Bachelorette', also starring Lizzy Caplan and Isla Fisher. The movie follows three friends who are asked to be bridesmaids at a wedding of a woman they used to ridicule in high school.
