Kings Of Leon - Kings Of Leon Gig Cancelled After Tour Bus Fire

KINGS OF LEON's show at London's O2 Arena had to be postponed last night (December 21st 2010) following a tour-bus fire at the venue, reports NME. Fire-fighters were called to the scene at around 8.00am and it took over three hours to put out the blaze.
No injuries were reported and the band confirmed that they would be rescheduling the sold out gig for early 2011. A spokesman for the group said, "The complications and disruption caused by this morning's fire have meant there is now insufficient time to rig the arena for tonight's performance". The fire had started in the loading bay of the arena but did not spread to the seating or performance area of the 23,000 capacity venue. The spokesperson added, "We are thankful to report that all crew are safe and no one was seriously injured. Kings of Leon send their sincerest apologies to all the fans who were planning and travelling to attend what was due to be a triumphant finale to their European tour tonight. The date will be rescheduled in 2011 at the first available opportunity".
The band, who recently had a UK number-one with their fifth studio album 'Come Around Sundown', will next play live during a tour of Australia in March 2011 before returning to the UK to play the historic 'Isle of Wight' festival.
