Kim Novak Undergoing Treatment For Breast Cancer
Novak's manager, Sue Cameron, said, "All her doctors say she is in fantastic physical shape and should recover very well". Novak is perhaps best known for her starring role in the 1958 ALFRED HITCHCOCK movie 'Vertigo', in which she played 'Madeleine Elster', and acted alongside James Stewart. She also had a recurring role on the soap 'Falcon Crest' in between 1986-1987, and appeared most recently in the 1990 British-German drama film 'The Children' which was directed by TONY PALMER and also starred Ben Kingsley.
Novak retired from acting in 1991 and began raising livestock with her veterinarian husband at their ranch in Oregon, however, she did make a rare Hollywood appearance in July 2010, promoting a DVD box-set collection of her work. Despite the diagnosis, Novak remains optimistic and her manager reiterated that the disease was "caught early".
