Kim Kardashian's Ring Inscriptions Revealed

Kim Kardashian's engagement ring features biblical inscriptions about the "perfect godly woman".

Kris Humphries - who proposed to the 30-year-old beauty last week - spent days researching the "perfect" passages to feature on the band, but then had to keep the jewellery hidden for a few weeks until he was ready to pop the question.

He explained: "There's one verse, Proverbs 31: 10-31, about the perfect godly woman. The other, 1 John 3:18, is about love. It took me a few days to pick them out and research the perfect ones.

"I got The Ring a while ago. I had it for a few weeks."

The basketball player - who has been dating Kim for six months - also admitted he sought guidance from one of the reality TV star's closest friends, publicist Jonathan Cheban.

Kris added to People magazine: "I know all her girlfriends but he's her only guy friend. I wanted to ask him what he thought. A while ago, I called him and told him, 'I have to do this, I have to propose, I want to do this now!'

"I was going to do it on a vacation we took but the timing wasn't right. So when Kim was in Miami doing a QVC thing Jonathan came to Los Angeles and we just hung out and talked about the proposal. We set some things up."
