Killers And Oasis To Head 'Eclectic' V Festival Lineup

The Killers and Oasis have been announced as the headline acts for this summer's V Festival, with tickets on sale on Friday.

Brandon Flowers and bandmates, as well NME award-winners Oasis, will take to the stage at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire in August.

Razorlight and Snow Patrol have also been confirmed for the two-day event as well as chart-toppers Lily Allen and Lady GaGa and Mercury prize winners Elbow.

Other acts confirmed include the Specials, The Ting Tings, Fatboy Slim, Keane and MGMT.

Tickets go on sale at 10:00 GMT on Friday March 6th with the festival held on August 22nd and 23rd.

"We're genuinely thrilled to have such an eclectic line-up this year," said festival director Bob Angus.

"Our headliners are two of the biggest acts in music today and with them being joined by some really exuberant newcomers, this summer's V Festival is set to give festival fans something to shout about."

Both the Killers and Oasis have played V before; the former in 2004 and as the 2007 headliners while the Gallaghers topped the bill in 2005.

Other artists announced for this year's V Festival include James, the Enemy, Pendulum, the Script, Biffy Clyro, Paolo Nutini, Katy Perry and the Wombats.

Also performing in Essex and Staffordshire will be James Morrison, Pete Doherty, The Streets, Dizzee Rascal, Happy Mondays, Seasick Steve, Ocean Colour Scene and the Saturdays.
