Kenny Rogers Writing Autobiography While He Can Remember The Past

Country music legend Kenny Rogers is set to write about his life in his first autobiography.

The Coward of the County singer insists the timing of his memoir is perfect - because he fears he may forget memories from his early days as a performer if he waits any longer to pick up a pen.

He says, "I must admit, the older I get, the more interesting my life used to be. I also realised that if I don't do it now, I may forget it all."

The book, which will be published late in 2011, will cap a year of firsts for Rogers, who will embark on his first tour of South America next month (May11).
