Ken Loach Leads Efa Nominations
British director Ken Loach's THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY will lead the way at the European Film Awards next month (DEC06) after landing five nominations.
The film, which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, picked up nods in the European Film, European Director, European Actor, European Screenwriter and European Cinematographer categories.
Michael Winterbottom and MAT WHITECROSS's The Road To Guantanamo, Neil Jordan's Breakfast on Pluto and PEDRO ALMADOVAR's VOLVER were other leading nominees.
The ceremony will take place in Warsaw, Poland on 2 December (06).
