TRAINSPOTTING actress Kelly MacDonald played a tampon container in a film when she was a struggling unknown actress.
MacDonald, who plays Bill Nighy's love interest in RICHARD CURTIS' G8 Summit themed TV movie, The Girl in the Cafe, had her fair share of unglamorous roles before getting finding fame alongside Ewan McGregor in the drug-themed Scottish drama in 1996.
She tells British magazine TIME OUT, "Once I had to have blue hair and dress as a box of Tampax. It was for a film, not an advert and I was a box of Tampax, not actually a Tampax.
