Kelly Brook - Kelly Brook Wants Zit-Free Diet

Kelly Brook wont' go on a macrobiotic diet again - because it caused an acne outbreak.

The 'Piranha 3D' star tried the eating plan - which is mainly comprised of vegetables and fish and doesn't allow the consumption of any dairy, sugary treats or processed foods - but was left horrified when her usually flawless skin became covered in zits.

She explained: "I once did a macrobiotic diet. My skin broke out so bad I called Mina Dobic, who is an amazing macrobiotic doctor, and said, 'Mina, I've got acne, what's going on?' She said, 'Ah, you might be ugly on the outside, but you're beautiful on the inside!'

"I thought, 'Oh no! I don't want to be beautiful on the inside, I want to be beautiful on the outside!' "

Kelly - who recently split from her rugby player boyfriend Danny Cipriani - always makes an effort with her appearance on the red carpet but is less fussy about her looks when she is at home.

She added: "I never wear make-up when I'm not working. When I go to Los Angeles I probably dress up a little bit more, but when I'm down in Kent on my farm I'm really low maintenance.

"I could go for days without washing my hair and be happy with that!"
