Ke$ha Accuses Talent Agency Of Unlawful Bookings
The pop star is facing a lawsuit from her former representatives at DAS Communications, who have sued the TiK ToK hitmaker for $14 million (£9.3 million). The suit alleges the singer owes them commission because she unlawfully terminated her contract with them before she signed a major music deal.
In August (10), Ke$ha's lawyers filed a motion to have the case dismissed, claiming she was wiT.In her rights to fire her reps.
Now they have filed court papers alleging the singer's former managers acted unlawfully during her time at the firm because they booked her a string of jobs in California without the proper paperwork.
The state's law requires talent agents to be properly licenced before they can procure work for clients, and Ke$ha alleges she was sent on many assignments, including gigs and songwriting jobs, even though the company was not officially registered there, according to the Associated Press.
