Katy Perry thinks English women are "the dirtiest girls".

The US singer – who is engaged to British comedian Russell Brand - loves British culture for its manners, but says she thinks English ladies also have a different side in the bedroom.

Katy said: "I love British culture and how it holds onto its manners. People still give a s**t about social status. And it seems like they really don't want to be embarrassed."

When told that there is, however, often much happening beneath the surface with British people, 'Teenage Dream' hitmaker Katy added: "Oh yeah. I mean, English girls are sometimes the dirtiest girls. I only know that because my boyfriend had a few... interactions."

Russell – a former drug and sex addict - has previously told in his autobiography of numerous encounters with women, including many prostitutes, whom he says he is "fascinated" by because they are "raw and honest".

Katy, 25, also said last week she is hoping to apply for UK citizenship after she and Russell marry next month.

She said: "I'm not too sure if I have to take a test as I've not had time to look into it. But England is like my second home.

"The country's already kind of adopted me so maybe I don't have to go through all the paperwork?"
