Katy Perry deserves a 'true gentleman'

Katy Perry's brother doesn't think she has met the right man yet.

The singer divorced comedian Russell Brand earlier this year and is currently dating musician John Mayer but her younger brother David Hudson isn't convinced she has found true love yet.

David just wants his superstar sister - real name Katheryn Hudson - to be happy and hopes she finds a ''true gentleman'' to have a relationship with.

He told Life & Style magazine: ''She deserves a true gentleman and I don't think she has found that yet.

''She needs a man who is changing the world like she is.''

However, Katy doesn't always take David's advice when it comes to dating and her personal life, and she often shrugs it off because she's her ''own person''.

The 'Wide Awake' singer's on /off romance with John is currently back on.

The two stars - who first started dating in June - were spotted celebrating John's 35th birthday in New York together on Tuesday (16.10.12) less than a week after Katy dumped the 'Half My Heart' singer telling him to lose her number.

They enjoyed a romantic lunch together at New York's trendy ABC Kitchen to mark John's special day.
