Katie Price - Katie Price slams wedding venue
Katie Price has hit out at the Sandals Royal Bahamian resort and spa, where she married Kieran Hayler earlier this month, branding the hotel a ''shambles''.
Katie Price was asked if she was a ''porn star'' by staff at the hotel where she married.
The 34-year-old former glamour model married male stripper Kieran Hayler in a surprise ceremony at the Sandals Royal Bahamian resort and spa earlier this month and has accused staff of almost ruining her big day.
She said: ''It doesn't affect my relationship with my new husband but our special day was close to being ruined by this shambles of a resort.
''As part of our wedding package deal, we were given a 'butler'. One of the first things I asked was if there was a private section of the beach I could sunbathe on.
''She asked me, 'Why? Are you famous?' Kieran eventually told her 'Yes' and she added, 'Are you a porn star?'
''I've done a few things in my time but porn isn't one of them and it's not the sort of thing a bride-to-be expects to be asked by a member of staff at a so-called classy hotel.''
Katie - who has children Harvey, 10, Junior, seven, and Princess Tiaamii, five, from previous relationships - went on to claim the resort is very different to the way it is advertised.
She added in her column for The Sun newspaper: ''Noting about the resort lived up to its description in the brochure. Some of our wedding shots show the backdrop of the ocean. But what you don't see is the ugly sky scrapers in the other direction.
''Even the sunbeds were a joke. Someone came to do a photoshoot for a brochure and lots of wooden beds were carefully placed in the shots. But as soon as the shoot was over, they were replaced with plastic ones. Our wedding tent was made of plastic too.''
The three-times wed star is now threatening legal action against the resort, but a spokesperson for the company insisted they would happily refund her - so long as she never returned.
The spokesperson - who denied the butler made derogatory remarks - said: ''As a gesture of goodwill, we are willing to offer her a refund on the condition she does not choose our resorts for any future weddings or stays.''
