Katie Price has quit 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
Bosses of the jungle reality show spent two hours trying to convince the glamour model to change her mind after she vowed to leave, upon learning the public had voted for her to take on her seventh Bushtucker Trial in as many days.
She reportedly said: "I can't take any more. I can't do another trial. I'm walking. There's only so much c**p one person can take.
"The way I've been treated on the show by the viewers - you'd think I was the most hated woman in Britain."
Katie had agreed to return to the show in which she met now ex-husband Peter Andre in 2004 in a bid to turn around her image in the aftermath of her split from the singer, but she admitted it hasn't gone as well as she hoped.
She is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: "It is getting beyond a joke. Everyone seems to hate me so much more than I thought.
"I said at the start that I came on the show for a bit of peace and quiet, to try and get my head together after the divorce. But now I'm feeling uncomfortable.''
This morning (23.11.09) a source at ITV confirmed her departure, saying: "Katie Price has left the show - as of today. We tried to talk her into staying but her mind was made up and she has left immediately."
Earlier, the brunette beauty had insisted she wouldn't do another trial after hosts Ant and Dec revealed she and Joe Bugner had been chosen to take part in Bad Pitt.
She vowed: "I swore on my kids' lives I'm not doing any more. I am just not doing any more. I have said to them I am not doing it."
Meanwhile, the celebrities are gearing up for another departure from the camp.
Actress Lucy Benjamin, former glamour model Sam Fox and chef Gino D'Acampo will face the first public vote for survival after being the only Exile Camp contestants not to win a Bush Battle and land a place in Base Camp and immunity from the first eviction.
