Katie Holmes Slept With Lights On After Reading Script

Katie Holmes has to sleep with The Lights on after reading The Script for her latest movie 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark'.

The 'Batman Begins' actress - who is set to star alongside Guy Pearce in the horror film remake, which has been written by Matthew Robbins and Guillermo Del Toro - admitted the motion picture's story left her "really scared" and hearing strange noises in her home.

She told the New York Daily News: "I usually sleep with the lights on.

"When I read this script, I was scared and I had to turn on all the lights in my house.

"I thought I heard noises. And I held my child really close."

The 32-year-old beauty explained the characters in the movie - which was previously made in 1973 - are "very relatable" because they are so realistic.

She added: "Guillermo created a very Real World with people that seem normal with real problems, so they are very relatable. They can be any One Of Us. Therefore the monsters, the creatures could invade any of our houses, which makes it scarier."
