Katie Holmes - Katie Holmes Moves On From Marriage With Broadway Role
Katie Holmes looks like she's moving on from her marriage with Tom Cruise in the only way she knows how - by cracking on with the hard work. It was Holmes who reportedly decided that the pair should split after five years of marriage.
Holmes is now getting back into the swing of work after it was confirmed that she'll be making her first Broadway appearance in four years in dark comedy 'Dead Accounts' - something you imagine she probably needs after the recent few weeks. The play has been created by Theresa Rebeck, who wrote 'Smash'. It's been described as something that "tackles the timely issues of corporate greed, small town values and whether or not your family will always welcome you back... with no questions asked" and it had its debut at the Cincinnati Playhouse last winter.
The last time Holmes appeared on Broadway was in a production of Arthur Miller's 'Death Of A Salesman'; indeed, that show was her debut on stage, Holmes having learnt her acting craft first on the small screen, most memorably as Joey Potter in 'Dawson's Creek'. Holmes gained favourable reviews four years ago though, so hopes will be high for this one.
