Katherine Jackson Safe, But Sheriffs Feel 'Used' By Family
Members of the department familiar with the situation say they believe Michael's family members knew Katherine was not in danger, but used the Sheriff's Department as a "pawn in the middle of a family game". Sources say the police budget has been severely cut which makes bogus claims sting even more their usual. Fears began to grow for the Jackson family matriarch after she reportedly failed to get in touch with family for over a week, though she was eventually found safe and sound with her daughter Rebbie in Arizona. Sheriff's spokesperson Steve Whitmore denied there was bad blood between the force and the famous family, saying, "We don't feel manipulated. We respond professionally to all such reports". The family have hardly been out of the headlines in recent weeks, with Michael's brothers and sisters looking to invalidate the late singer's will.
Michael Jackson's 14-year-old daughter Paris sent out an alarming tweet asking for help on locating her grandmother on Saturday, saying, "Yes, my grandmother is missing. I haven't spoken with her in a week I want her home now". Paris is a divisive figure in the Jackson family at the moment, with sister Janet reportedly unhappy at her forthcoming appearance in the adventure movie 'Lundon's Bridge and The Three Keys'.
