Cameron also revealed that he considered Titanic to be a "timeless classic" and added "The big thrill of it isn't just the 3D. it's bringing it back to the big screen, where it has a lot more emotional impact." This year marks the 100th anniversary of the year that the ship set sail, on a voyage from Southampton to New York. Tragically, the ship sank less than three hours later, killing 1,517 of the crew and passengers.
