Kate Winslet - Kate Winslet And Ned Rocknroll Win Saucy Pictures Fight

The couple, which married in New York in December (12), went to court earlier this month (Jan13) in a bid to stop editors of a British tabloid publishing saucy "semi-naked" shots of Rocknroll at a fancy dress party several years ago.

A judge at London's High Court initially issued a temporary injunction to keep the pictures out of the newspapers, and on Tuesday (08Jan13), Winslet and Rocknroll won their fight to have the order extended.

A statement from the couple, issued to Wenn, reads, "We have stopped (British tabloid) The Sun from publishing semi-naked photos of Ned taken by a friend at a private 21st birthday party a few years ago. The photos are innocent but embarrassing and there is no reason to splash them across a newspaper.

"We recognise that in the Internet age, privacy is harder and harder to maintain but we will continue to do what we can, particularly to protect Kate’s children from the results of media intrusion. We refuse to accept that her career means our family cannot live a relatively normal life."

Winslet began dating 34-year-old Rocknroll, the nephew of British tycoon Sir Richard Branson, in 2011 and they married shortly before Christmas (25Dec12). The Titanic star has two children, a son and a daughter, from previous relationships.
