Kate Upton - Kate Upton, Lardy? Model Hits Back At Online Taunts
Kate Upton, the one of the world's most popular models, has hit back at critics who called her fat. The model has been the victim of taunts on a pro-anorexia website, which called her "lardy" and criticized her for appearing in a raunchy advert in which she is snapped eating a burger.
Kate, 20, blasted back, "I'm not going to starve just to be thin.I want to enjoy life and I can't if I'm not eating and miserable", according to The Sun. The U.S. beauty was attacked on the SkinnyGossip website, which reportedly encourages anorexia and glamourizes "dangerous levels of thinness", according to the UK newspaper. A spokesman for the model also laughed off the jibes, saying, "It's absurd. Kate is gorgeous and very healthy". Justin Hooper, a creative director who worked on the burger ad for Carl's Jr, told Fox news, "Kate's probably the hottest girl we've ever worked with.We love each of the women we've worked with, but there's something about Kate that's so All-American, so beautiful and very classic".
Upton has risen to become one of the most sought after models in the industry, partly thanks to her 2012 Sports Illustrated and GQ covers. She also found fans through a series of viral videos, one of which was directed by Terry Richardson and saw Upton dancing in a red bikini. Her movie credits include small roles in the comedy flicks 'Tower Heist' in 2011, and 'The Three Stooges' in 2012.
