The dress, an Alexander McQueen piece, has been modelled by the Royal before, when she visited the Prince Edward Island last year as part of the Royal pair's tour of Canada. It is also a style fashioned by trendsetter Sarah Jessica Parker, albeit a navy version of the dress, in the past as well, and it looks as though the 1920's-esque tennis style looks to be making a resurgence. Kate finished her own Wimbledon outfit with a navy blue pair of suede court shoes from LK Bennett.

It was the first Wimbledon appearance of the year for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with the royal pair's visit following her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, who were guests in the Royal box yesterday, and Pippa Middleton and brother James last Friday. The pair also managed to catch British hopeful Andy Murray take to the court shortly after, with William exchanging words with England Football manager Roy Hodgson in the stands before Murray took to the court to face David Ferrer.
